About The Nutcracker Ballet Production
A beloved holiday tradition now in its 29th year, The Nutcracker: A Storybook Ballet is the only full-length Nutcracker production dedicated to the North County community. This cherished performance has become a hallmark of the season—bringing families, friends, and generations of dancers together to celebrate the magic of the arts.
Each year, audiences are taken into Clara’s enchanting dream world, where toy soldiers battle mischievous mice, snowflakes dance under a shimmering moon, and the Sugar Plum Fairy welcomes guests to the Land of Sweets.
This year’s production features a cast of more than 70 performers, ranging in age from 6 to over 70 years old. The cast includes guest artists from across the country and over 60 talented dancers from Class Act Dance, making it a true community collaboration that unites artistry and dedication.
Through this annual production, NCDPAF fulfills its mission to support arts education and youth performance opportunities, ensuring that every dancer, regardless of dance background or financial abilities, has the chance to shine on stage and share the timeless story of The Nutcracker with our community.
